Beautiful Seattle!

Owen and I just got back from Seattle where we had the best time! We stayed with our friends Mike and Sarah and their daughter Avery. We went all over seeing different places, and every place we went was so gorgeous! I apologize ahead of time because there are SO many photos in this post. Not only was every place beautiful, Avery is adorable! I was trying to post every day to split the days up, but we had some internet issues.

Anyway - first we hiked down to a beach just below the bridge that connects the mainland to Whidbey Island...

We stopped for lunch at this cute little bread cafe right on the water. It was very yummy - Avery ate some lemons for lunch ;)

Next we went to Fort Casey which was where they were concerned about invasion during WWI (I think). It was really cool to see, and kind of scary at the same time thinking of what was happening back then. We were able to climb up on everything, and the guns were huge!

This is the view from one of the bunkers a little bit up the hill from where the guns were.

Here is one of the guns...

I thought this was a funny sign - you don't exactly see this every day!

For anyone who is concerned, Mike and Sarah are not throwing Avery off a cliff, they are at the top of the fort, and it slopes down to the water. Its covered in grass so that no one would be able to see it from the water.

This is the view of the lighthouse from on top of the fort.

We took a ferry ride to get back to the mainland.

Day 2 - We began the day by walking down to the lake right next to Mike and Sarah's house and kayaking for a little while. It was really fun - my arms are sore!

Then we headed to the Space Needle. We had already been up, so we didn't go up again but we walked around the Seattle Center.

Thanks Mike and Sarah - we had a blast! And thanks for putting up with my endless pictures!

Tough clients!

Owen's parents Ruth and Brian are in town this week. I decided that we needed some updated pictures of them, and they were not very cooperative! I am pretty sure they have been my toughest clients yet! ;) And they are totally aware of that! But we love them anyway and had a lot of fun taking pictures of them and the kids.

This is the killer duck who wasn't scared of the kids at all - it actually started coming after Tyler!

We really enjoyed spending time with you guys!

The Eardleys

Tonight I shot family pictures for my friends the Eardleys. They have an adorable 2 year old named Austin who made us all work to get him on camera! He was very sweet and excited about all the new things to see at the park...

Boys, boys, boys!

I took pictures of the Kanenwisher family on Wednesday. They have four very handsome boys, and one little princess Hope. The boys were all very cooperative and were awesome for pictures! However, I have to say the two younger boys Seth and Noah gave the older ones Colin and Beau a run for their money! They gave great smiles and poses all on their own for me! After all the group shots, I took some of the kids playing. They had so much fun, and I love the shots!
